External notifications refer to notifications about the delivery of messages in the NEN system that will be forwarded to the email address you provide.

You can search/ add the "Set up External Notifications" tile using the search bar "What would you like to do?" or the "plus" icon. After clicking on this tile, a form will appear where you can set up and subsequently modify the email address at any time.

Setting up can also be adjusted directly in the form "Communication → Settings → Notifications to external email".

  1. Click on the "Set up External Notifications" tile. By creating and registering a NEN System User, external notifications are automatically generated, which can be edited in the "Notification header" section in the right part of the form.

  2. In case that you need to set up additional external notifications, click on the "New" button in the left top toolbar. You can fill in the notification title. Enter the email address for receiving notifications (if there are multiple, separate them with a semicolon).

The settings for this notification match the internal notification settings
If you set the checkbox "The settings for this notification match the internal notification settings" to a "tick", other setting options will not be active, and everything will be governed by the settings for internal notifications. Only the sending to the specified addresses will occur.

If you would like to configure the sending of only external notifications or specifically modify the scope of sent notifications for external notifications, set the checkbox in this parameter to a "cross".

  1. After making the adjustments, click the "Save" button. This completes the external notifications settings, and notifications will be delivered to the provided external email. If the default settings scope for sending notifications is not satisfactory, you can limit the scope.
