Creating a New Encrypted Message

The creation of an encrypted message is only possible through the internal mailbox. To create an encrypted message, it is necessary to have an encryption certificate available (in this case, the contracting authority is responsible for providing such a key). The public part of the certificate is used for sending an encrypted message.

  1. Click on the "New message" button in the top grey toolbar, where you will choose the option "Encrypted".

  1. The NEN system will prompt you to insert a password to encrypt the record. It refers to any password, which you will choose at the particular moment. For other data messages, you must choose a password again.

If you are creating a new message in a particular procurement procedure, the message is automatically assigned to the procurement procedure. If you are creating a new message in the internal mailbox, we recommend linking it with a procurement procedure. In such a case, the NEN system will automatically fill in the "To" field.

  1. Fill in all required fields and, if necessary, upload attachments.

  2. After filling in the required fields and addressee, buttons for sending will appear in the form. The message can be sent through the button "Send" or "Sign and send", where the NEN system will prompt you to insert a signature certificate upon pressing it. In this case, it is necessary to have the signing add-ons installed (available for download here).

  1. The NEN system, after clicking the "Send" or "Sign and send" button (first, insert a signature certificate), will display a window where you need to select the encryption certificate from your computer.

  1. After uploading the certificate, the NEN system will display the encryption certificate, and you simply click on the "Encrypt" button.

You will use the "Select Another Certificate" button in case, for example, the wrong certificate has been uploaded.
